AGM NEWS
Once again, we are amazed that a club of 900 players can only muster 13 people at the Annual General Meeting, of which 8 were serving members of the executive. This is a volunteer run, non-profit club, and the AGM is a chance to take on a position to help players in Acton have soccer fun. The current crop of volunteers are proud to run the club, and we believe we are doing a good job: maybe the fact that nobody shows up at the AGM to complain is an excellent sign. All the same, we need more people to help. Do you have the time to do one of the following jobs -

SECRETARY: Take minutes at monthly meetings, circulate minutes and agenda before meeting.
FIELD SCHEDULER: Ensure bookings for fields are coordinated for games and practices.
SPONSORSHIP: Work with local businesses who want to support soccer by sponsoring a team.
VOLUNTEER SCREENING (new job): Ensure coaches show police checks, and that references are followed up.
PUBLICITY (new job): Ensure Acton Villa enjoys coverage in the local papers.
